BODIES OF WORK II

BODIES OF WORK II was an exhibition held at Something Cool Studios, curated by Leah Bury and Loria Mendoza during the month of July 2022, and a follow up to 2021’s BODIES OF WORK.

We invited local artists to showcase their incredible talent as they considered the human figure. What emerged is a gallery that compels the viewer to consider the body in ways that transcend their ordinary perceptions while underscoring its evocative nature, diversity, and resilience.

Featuring the work of 30+ local Austin artists, our opening night multi-medium gallery activation featured live music, body painting, burlesque, live drawing of models, poetry, and vendors.
